Version header for Minuit2 standalone

Hi,

is there an OS-independent way to extract the Minuit2 version from a standalone installation, something like a version header or so?

Hi,

Unfortunately not, there is no header file in Minuit2 defining the version in the standalone case. It is maybe something that we should add

For me and I think also for others it would be really useful if a version header could make it to the next release of the standalone version.
