Where are the root primer files located?

I was reading the primer manual

and there are some files that the manual refers to like slits.C, ExampleData.txt etc but I don’t know where they are located in my computer?

thanks, but I was wondering where in my computer it is located? I tried looking into somewhere in $ROOTSYS but had no luck…

They are in the “.tar.gz” files with ROOT “source distribution” (but not in the “binary distributions”).
