Dear experts,
I have been running some toy fits in HistFactory, feeding in TH3D objects with uniform bins. These toys run without any issues.
However, when I make my TH3D histograms with non-uniform bins (each bin has a different width), HistFactory does not work as expected. The RooStats::HistFactory::Sample objects, which I use to fit the signal and background components, appear in the output plots to have the correct custom binning. But the TH3D containing the toy data has incorrect uniform bins in the plots, and the fits do not work.
Is HistFactory able to handle input histograms with non-uniform bins? I have seen the issue reported in a separate thread here, but there were no responses.
