Usage of ShapeSys in HistFactory

Hi,

I’m trying to set up an analysis using the HistFactory RooStats tool. I haven’t been able to find any documentation on how ShapeSys works. When I give it a histogram, is it expecting absolute uncertainties, or relative?

Hi Nic,

The ShapeSys asks for relative uncertainties. In other words, if your error histogram looks like:

0.05 0.03 0.10 0.15

It is interpreted as:

5% 3% 10% 15%
