Type square brackets in the gui session from mac

Hi rooters,

I have a very little problem and I wasn’t able to find similar post in the forum.
Sometimes when I draw a TH1 or a TGraph, sometimes I’d like to change the axis label
clicking on the axis->SetTitle().

Then when the window in the image below appears, I’m not able to type square bracket or hashtag.

I use root v6.08.06 on a Mac with OSX 10.12.6 with Xcode 9.0.1.

There is a way to solve this issue? Maybe just with an update

No problem for me with the root master on Mac … I can type [ ] # …
I really do not know why these characters are forbidden for you …

Sorry I forgot to add that I have an italian keyboard
and # and [ ] are considered special characters.

This is apparently a known issue… Just search the forum for “italian keyboard”
