May be @Axel can comment about it.
As long as it’s ROOT related I guess it’s fine! Thibault - the best way is to hire someone: put up a job ad, link it here, and see whether a former HEP student applies. Good luck!
Alternatively you can post your concrete questions here on the forum: open source communities are fairly helpful even without paying them. (And then you can donate some money to CERN 
)
