ROOT & Matlab usable together?

is Matlab usable with ROOT or vice versa ? I found only 2-3 comments/topics about that

so I’m rather wary before I put effort into rolling a cornered object… is it for example possible to use Matlab-functions in a c/c+±File and ACLiC knows them ?
Has anybody experience with using ROOT and Matlab together ?
