Problems with accents

Hello everybody,
I’m using the grave accent, but the result I obtain is not satisfying:
#grave{a} produces an a with the accent crossing it on the upper part (instead of being above), while, for example, #hat{a} gives what’s expected.
How can I solve this?

I’m using ROOT v6-24-04 on macOS Monterey 12.2.1.

TLatex is not perfect for the characters with accents.
For some of them they are drawn with a line .
