Plot error bands on fit

Hi!

If I use the Fitpanel to fit an easy function, I find the option to draw a confidence interval (Advanced->ConfIntervals). Is there a way to plot the error bands in a pyROOT/C++ program? Is this the 1 sigma deviation (set to 0.683) of the fit?
