Plot ascii file with markers and only show limited number of markers

Hi guys,
I need to plot a “large” ascii csv file. Every columns is more than 5000 points, I need to plot multiple columns and I want to plot them black and white with markers. Unfortunately, the default behaviour is to plot a marker for every point and we don’t see them. How can I proceed to only show a limited number of markers ?

It depends how you plot these markers. Can you show an example ?
