Palette for cont4 with white empty bins

Dear all!

I’m using ROOT 5.34/04 and would like to have a TH2D plotted with the cont4 option where empty bins are white. The palette should be the same as palette 55 for the remaining colors. I don’t have bins with negative counts. At the moment the “surrounding” area is blue. How must such a palette be constructed?

Thanks in advance,

Sebastian

Hi!

Is it correct that the palette will depend on the number of contours? I can get it working with 99 (100 seems forbidden) contours and the following:

    const Int_t nRGBs = 7;
    Double_t stops[nRGBs] = { 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.34, 0.61, 0.84, 1.00 };
    Double_t red[nRGBs]   = { 1, 1, 0.00, 0.00, 0.87, 1.00, 0.51 };
    Double_t green[nRGBs] = { 1, 1, 0.00, 0.81, 1.00, 0.20, 0.00 };
    Double_t blue[nRGBs]  = { 1, 1, 0.51, 1.00, 0.12, 0.00, 0.00 };
    TColor::CreateGradientColorTable(nRGBs, stops, red, green, blue, 255);

The first 1% are white and the rest is copied from TColor.h palette number 55.

Best,

Sebastian
