Mac os x tiger window resize box showing on png canvas save

Hello,

I’m trying to save a canvas as a png on my mac os x 10.4.8 tiger but I keep getting the xterm window resize box at the lower right hand corner of the canvas also saved as part of the image. Is there a way to get rid of this?

I’m attaching a sample file to this post (vt_1.png). Please let me know.

This is unfortunately a known issue on the MAC. Hoping to fix it for the next release.

I have access to a mac only remotely, and, that way, I do not get this effect (I just tried and the png file is correct). As it is decoration added by the Mac windowing system, we will need to bebug this on a Mac machine directly.

thanks for letting me know. In the meanwhile I will just use the native linux command “convert” to convert the files into png from eps. Hopefully, this will be fixed in the next root version. :slight_smile:

By the way, do you also see this problem when you generate the picture in batch mode ?

It turns out that this problem has been fixed last year already.
If you move to ROOT 5.14, you should see thsi problem.
