Log-x scale and "hist" draw option y-axis overlap

Dear experts,

When I draw a number of histograms with the “phist” option, the histogram edges overlap with the y-axis, but only when I draw using a log-x scale. Please see screenshots:

The one of the right is drawn with a log-x scale and has the problem. Is there a way to avoid this behaviour?
