JsRoot in Jupyterlab

ROOT Version: v6.18.00
Platform: el7.x86_64
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.8.5 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-36)

Dear all,

I am trying to make jsroot running within a Jupyter notebook (through JupyterLab). I know this is working from SWAN @CERN, but I could not find any recipe on how to make it work on our side.

Searching a bit the internet, I found the two following issues in Jira [1] and on GitHub [2]. Both are opened, so I guess there is maybe not yet any final recipe to achieve such a thing.

Is there a way to do that? How do guys from the SWAN team achieve it?

Thanks,
Cheers,

Sébastien

Dear Sébastien,

One of the summer students in the ROOT team is working precisely on that right now. He recently replied to one of the issues you mentioned with a solution that could work:

We are still testing it so it is not yet integrated in ROOT. Please follow closely that issue for news about this topic.

Cheers,
Enric

Also, SWAN still uses the classic Jupyter, and therefore the JSROOT graphics work as normal there.
