I need to make a horizontal 1D histogram with markers and error bars. The option to do this with bar charts is “hbar”, but there doesn’t seem to be an equivalent option for plotting points using makers “horizontally”. The reason I want to plot it horizontally and not just vertically is that I have quite long alphanumeric bin labels, which are too long to place on the x-axis.
Yes, HBAR is the only direct way. Recently I posted a macro on the forum which may answer your question. The idea is to use a temporay TGraph.
