GUI scaling for 4K display

Dear Experts,

I have recently started using a laptop with a 4K display (3840x2169 resolution). In Gnome I set the scaling of apps to 200% so that I can see anything  and it does work for most of the apps in gnome/linux, but it does not for ROOT gui.
The TBrowser, TCanvas and other windows are just too small.

I know I can of course scale the font sizes up, I tried it with .rootrc and it works but the enlarged fonts donā€™t quite fit the GUI windows an it is not comfortable to work like this (especially as other controls are still small).

Someone at the forum suggested setting useXft to ā€œyesā€, I did so but it didnā€™t help.

Is there any working solution for that? Or any update foreseen?

Best regards,
Pawel

P.S. I know there were topics like this one, all of them are however closed without soultionā€¦

I think @bellenot can help you with this.

Sorry, but there is no proper solution for this issue. This should be automatically fixed with the ROOT 7 Web based GUI though
