Are you aware that if one follows a dead link to a root page (e.g https://root.cern/doc/v612/classTAxis.html) one is taken to a page which suggests to click on https://root.cern/get_started/ which gets you back to the same page? Not terribly useful!
We’ll check, thanks for reporting!
This old version of the ROOT reference guide is not updated anymore. Why not using a more recent one ?
https://root.cern/doc/master/classTAxis.html
About the missing get_started
page, see this commit from @mczurylo So the error page should be updated I guess
Hi @ajfinch,
you’re right, thanks for pinging us. There is some issue which we need to pinpoint more closely - but what the page should send you to is here: Learn - ROOT. We’ll work on solving the confusion ASAP!
Cheers,
Marta

Should be fixed now
Of course, but there is thing called google you may have heard of it. (In response to why not use the right link in the first place)
By the way I had fun on a similar doxygen page I manage for my collaboration trying to provide useful suggestions to correct URLs in a php script which is used as a 404 response when people use links with explicit but out of date version numbers. However it is a pain to maintain such things.
