Garfield++ AvalancheSize problem

Hi experts!
I run triplegem.C in example/Ansys123 and encounter some problems.
1.the output of aval.GetAvalancheSize ( ne, ni ) is sometimes 0. Can anyone explain why this happened ?
2.aval. EnableAvalancheSizeLimit (1000) is set in the program, but it does not seem to work, because ne is still greater than 1000.Why?

1: that can happen because of attachment.

2: I need to take look at the code but it’s possible that the way the size limit is implemented you can get slightly higher avalanche sizes than imposed by the cut.
