I’m trying to download, using Safari, the pre-compiled root 6.36.08 to a new MacBook Pro M5 running MAC OS 26.2, but I get an error that I don´t have enough free space. I have more than 200 GB free and the pkg file is only 436 MB.
Using Firefox, the download proceeds without issues.
Does anybody know why the download goes wrong for Safari, and works for Firefox??

Maybe @couet can give it a try, but anyway, it looks more an issue with Safari than an issue with ROOT itself…
I just tried on a M4 machine (I do not have any M5) running MacOS 26.2 to download ROOT from this page using safari Version 26.3 (21623.2.7.11.6). And it is working fine. I am not sure why it does not work for you using safari. May be some “safari cache” is full on your machine ?
Clearing the cache AND restarting Safari did the trick. Thanks for the good hint.
