Chi2 fit with range

Hello, I’m having trouble using chi2FitTo with a range specified. Referring to this thread:

I used the modified script that StephanH provided in that thread, but did not get the same result, specifically the chi2 fit with the restricted range gave the same result as the fit with no range specified. Here is the resulting plot:

I’m using ROOT 6.19/01 on macosx.

Hi @walshj!

Sorry for the late reply. Please update your ROOT version. Starting from 6.20, the chi2 fits with custom ranges work. I just tried it myself with ROOT 6.20 and ROOT master and I’m getting the expected results.

I hope that you have the opportunity to update ROOT and please let us know if you have further questions!
