I am happy to announce the availability of xps, a bioinformatics program for the analysis of DNA-chips.
Although it is not a HEP program it may be of interest, since it (hopefully) shows how to take advantage
of two different frameworks, namely ROOT and R. It can be downloaded from the Bioconductor website:
bioconductor.org/packages/2.2/bioc/html/xps.html
Although wrapped as package for R, library xps.so can also be used from within ROOT only. Subdirectory
"xps/inst/examples" contains a file “script4xps.R”, which shows how to use xps from within R, and a file
"macro4XPS.C", which shows how to use xps from within ROOT.
