Windows version DLLs are not exact(sometimes)

Hello. I’ve come to know ROOT recently. Since the output of ROOT is very beautiful and C++ style object-oriented coding is my favorite, I will use ROOT for drawing graph in papers, and I check this website frequently.

I found that DLLs for Win32 version are sometimes not exact in the following page. root.cern.ch/root/Version402.html

Although the name of the required file is “msvcr71.dll”, linked DLL is “msvcr70.dll”. Even if I download these files and copy to the system folder, ROOT doesn’t run(Message that means “DLL not found” appears).

The same phenomenon exists about “msvcrp71.dll”.

I see this situation sometimes but not always.

Why does this phenomenon exist? :open_mouth:

This problem was fixed earlier today.
