with a freshly downloaded root-v404source, and a cvs up -dP, ./configure win32gcc --debug, I get

cygwin itself is also fresh, maybe 3 weeks old. Any idea how that could happen, or what I could check? x3d/inc/x3d.h does exist… I attached the last part of gmake -d.
