May I ask why these warnings appear in the calculation process?
The warning comes from the function that integrates the Townsend coefficient (and attachment coefficient) over a drift line step. It means that one of the probe points along the step is not inside a valid drift medium. Which should be very rare, but it might be possible if your geometry has sharp features.
What type of detector are you simulating?
In a boron-coated neutron detector, some of the plate edges are not rounded. In the electric field diagram, the electric field near the plate edges is relatively dense. Could this be the reason?
