TSpline3 vs. TSpline5

Could anybody clarify what are the exact differences of TSpline3 and TSpline5?

My educated guess would be that TSpline3 uses third degree polynomials and TSpline5 fifth degree polynomials.

@moneta might be able to comment with more authority, but he’s currently travelling.
