TProof::Reset("master") with ROOT 5.16.00

Hello,
When I use PROOF (ROOT 5.16.00) :
TProof::Open(“master”)
…
and if I try to use TProof::Reset(“master”) :
root [1] TProof::Reset(“master”)

the command is running during a very very long time (more than 30 min !) without messages of ERROR. I usually kill ROOT and start ROOT again. Then I can see that the command TProof::Reset was applied on the master !

Any idea about this problem ?

Hi,

We are aware of the problem.
We are working on a optimized implementation of Reset and other admin functions which should also solve this.
I hope we can have it soon.
For the time being there is no alternative to do what you did; but do not wait 30 mins!
