Hi

i’m trying to use Proof to analyse a large datasets (that i’ve created) but i have a problem with one step.

I have a par file where in the SETUP.C i put path and library to be loaded, and everything seems to work properly, but at the end i have only an empty root file.

I tried to understand why and in the log file of the master i have these lines

The first 10 lines are just cout lines that show normally that my libraries are well loaded but in the next few lines there this no valid or non-empty file found that i don’t understand…

If i do a p->ShowDataSets() i can see my datasets, and a VerifyDataSet() works just fine…
Moreover on the standard output i’ve these lines

I’m feeling lost… is it complaining about data files?
any advice/idea would be more than welcome

Hi,

Could you please post the output of ShowDataSets()?

Also, can you set

root [] proof->SetLogLevel(2, TProofDebug::kPacketizer)

run again, and post the master log?

I change the way i create DataSet and add to the TfileCollection a default tree name (the name of the tree) before registrying the dataset. it changes the master log but not the results in the end…

Hi,

Please post the whole master log (check the Lines ‘all’ tick on on the bottom).

Also, could you explain a bit more your setup and where the files are located?

And also post the output of:

and about the setup i’m not really sure to explain it correctly : We have in my institute a dedicated proof cludter there’s one master that dispatch job on mor than 50 core … default directory for dataset and par file ar on the machine…

Data are on a local grid space which is visible as a big hard drive when setup correctly the path…
I’ve got the same result with locally based data (on a hard drive)
