Tefficiency fitting with bin size error

Hello all,
I am using the Tefficiency class with kFNormal statistics that I’m fitting to an erf to. I’ve included a plot of the with the fit line and error bars shown with the horizontal bars being the bin size. Now is there a way of fitting that would include the x uncertainty? I haven’t been able to find anything, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Simon

Hi,

When fitting a TGraphErrors the horizontal uncertainty are taken into account. But if these are bins, it is WRONG to include them. It is correct if its x variables is an independent measurement which contains an uncertainty (e.g. when plotting pressure measurements vs temperature measurements). This is not the case of an histogram representing counts

Thanks, yeah bit of a dumb question
