The Report method currently prints the cutflow, but is there a way to read it out in the code or generate a histogram?

if you mean accessing programmatically the efficiency of the cuts, you are absolutely right in asking how to carry out that operation.
It is not possible at the moment but it’s definitively a feature we would like to see in the next ROOT release.
A workaround I can suggest is to use the the Count action, counting the events before and after the cut(s) of your analysis.
We’ll make sure the priority of the feature allowing to access efficiencies from the code is raised.
