ah, ok, I see… The plot produced by “my” version of the program is indeed the integral of the induced current pulse, which is useful if you are interested in the total induced charge. I hadn’t realised that the plots you sent were the output signals after convolution with a transfer function.
The transfer function you are using has a negative undershoot, so it makes sense that the convoluted signal is bipolar. The duration of the induced current pulse and the peaking time of your transfer function are on a similar scale, so both of them will determine the features you see in the convoluted signal.
