Just to let you know I have just pushed in go-hep a new tool that converts ROOT files into YODA, an ASCII-based data format that is used by YODA and Rivet.

Usage example:
$> root2yoda file1.root file2.root >| out.yoda
there are probably still a few bugs hanging around as it is a first preview version, but it’s a start I guess.
