ROOT XML documentation

Hi
I am looking for documentation for I/O in XML format under ROOT. I looked in the guides, HOWTOs, examples and I could not find anything relevant except a small note in the main documentation package. Basically I am looking to learn how to generate my own XML files and be able to retrieve this data back for processing.

The description of the XML package is available at:
root.cern.ch/root/html/IO_XML_Index.html
(essentially pointers to class docs).

If you read these pages you will see that the use of the XML format in ROOT is identical to the ROOT native format xxx.root (see examples).
