Root on Intel macs

Hi

I’m trying to install ROOT on an intel mac, I’m currently setup to use gcc 4.0.1 and I am trying to compile root v4.04.02g.

When I do a configure macosx then a make I get the an error when trying to compile TUnixSystem.cxx (see below)

Any pointers?

Cheers

Start from the current CVS version.

As a general rule, it is unlikely that a ROOT version generated
before a hardware (Intel/MAC) or software (gcc4) was available will work.
The current CVS version works on MacTel.
