Hi all,
I need to decay the neutrons contained in my root file. The “old” pythia 6 has no neutron decay defined, so I guess the methods of TPythia class are probably useless. Since the new pythia 8 has neutron decay I’d like to ask :"Is there a way to use pythia 8 in ROOT?"
Or have I to grab the code from pythia c++ source and put it into my routine? (ugly but maybe working)
Thanks
Roberto
Roberto,
We will include the pythia8 interface at the end of January.

Could you point me to more information on the Pythia8 interface. I cannot seem to find any information on this. Is the Pythia8 interface available?
Thanks and best regards,
Florian
Yes the Pythia8 interface is available (since version 5.18) See
root.cern.ch/root/html/TPythia8.html
and $ROOTSYS/tutorials/pythia/pythia8.C

Ah perfect! Thank you so much!
