Anyway this is my personal mac. The mac that I used for research still runs Mavericks that is consistent with ROOT 5.
So if you are thinking about to upgrade your mac to Yosemite beta, be careful about this incompatibility 
What I understood is you have not recompile ROOT 6 on your new OS. Could you recompile it and see what happen?
