We’re happy to announce ROOT 6.40.04 [1, 2], an update of ROOT for the 6.40 branch :tada:!

This version addresses about 30 issues relative to 6.40.02. See the release notes for the details :rocket:

ROOT 6.40.04 will also soon arrive in your favorite package manager; thanks for all the packagers’ precious help in providing new versions!
