ROOT 6.30.06 is out!

Dear all,

We’re happy to announce ROOT 6.30.06, an update of ROOT for that branch. This release contains a small number of bug fixes, as well as the changes in the C++ modules system that allows to build from sources on the latest XCode versions on macOS 14.

You can find the release notes here. ROOT 6.30.06 will also soon arrive in your favorite package manager; thanks for all the packagers’ precious help in providing new versions!

Cheers,

Danilo for the ROOT team.

This is Ubuntu 22.04 / x86_64 here.
Your newest “v6.30.06” binaries are missing many features that are present in your older “v6.30.04” binaries:

builtin_davix
builtin_ftgl
builtin_gl2ps
builtin_glew
builtin_gtest
builtin_lz4
builtin_lzma
builtin_nlohmannjson
builtin_pcre
builtin_tbb
builtin_unuran
builtin_vc
builtin_veccore
builtin_xrootd
builtin_xxhash
builtin_zeromq
builtin_zlib
builtin_zstd
fftw3
fortran
mathmore
roofit_multiprocess
shadowpw
soversion
tmva-sofie
unuran

And again, your newest “v6.30.06” binaries depend on “libtbb.so.12” but you do not provide it (“libtbb.so.12.9” is present in your older “v6.30.04” binaries).
