Root 6.10 with gcc/g++ 4.6

Hi,

I want to install root-6.10 or root-6.08 in my 32 bit machine which has ubuntu 12.04 and gcc and g++ 4.6.
It is giving following error:
configure: c++11 mode is requested but the current compiler does not support it.

Can you please suggest me, what can I do?

Hi Sanjeev,

ROOT 6 requires at least GCC 4.8. You need to update the compiler.
