ROOT 6.08.00 : MacOSX 10.12.1 cmake failure

Having an issue installing ROOT 6.08.00 on MacOSX 10.12.1 (using Xcode 8.1).
I have attached the output and error log files

ps. amazing that the latest MacOSX/XCode install is not good enough for this
ROOT version: it comes with cmake 3.4.1 which is too old …
