I just installed ROOT 5.06 on our solaris machines (versions 5.8 up to 5.10 - for sol 10 I compiled it from scratch) and now run into problems when trying to use it on the sol 8 and 9 while for the selfcompiled version it is fine (and I have problems compiling for sol8,9 - but this is another story). For sol 8 and 9 I get a missing library libXpm.so.4.10.
I found some related problems in some mailing list, but these are all very very old issues (ROOT v. 2.xx).
The library is present on that machines but under /usr/local/lib and only in version 4.11, so no matter how I compose my LD_LIBRARY_PATH, it dosen’t work
