Question about BDT cut

Hello everybody. I am trying to get the optimal cut value as it is defined by S/sqrt(S+B) in the BDT method, but when I put by hand the number of signal and background events, it just doesn’t work. I just prints out the default number which is 1000 and 1000 respectively. Any idea how I can fix it? I am using ROOT 6.06/08.

If I can’t fix it, is there another way to find out the best BDT cut value?

Is this when using the TMVA GUI?

Yes, exactly. It just seems not to “take” the input numbers that I set.

Ok, I think that may be a bug in the GUI. I’ll file a bug report so we can look into it.
