Yes may be your system is missing something. May be you can already see some differences comparing my cmake log and yours.
OK, so I erased all the user-installed packages and reinstalled the whole system again.
Now it works. I can compile ROOT now. Great. Still need to add the -Dbuiltin_glew=ON option.
I think the problem was due to the fact that I used the apple migration assistant to transfer files from another mac to the new one.
