What is your version number for XCode and Command Line Tools?

I confirm that brew reinstall root fixed the problem for me with the latest Xcode and CLT. Find the before/after logs in the attachment.

I also uninstall-ed and re-install-ed root with (didn’t think about the fact that reinstall was an option!) and it worked for me on my Intel machine.
