PDG Database and Nuclei

Hello all,

are there plans to include nuclei like deuteron, triton and helium (which will be often produced at a well-known pp collider) in ROOT’s PDG database? The decoding of their PDG numbers is described in this document http://pdg.lbl.gov/2008/reviews/rpp2008-rev-monte-carlo-numbering.pdf (section 14).

Cheers,
Oliver

Oliver,

see an example in the Alice MC at

Dear René,

many thanks. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Oliver

This topic recently came up in our analysis. That link to the Alice MC file AliPDG.cxx is no longer valid. Is there a current example available?

The only examples I can see in ROOT are ‘tutorials/evegen/evegen_001_MonteCarlo.C’ and tutorials/evegen/evegen_000_pythia8.C
