What do you mean with: “The patch release of ROOT 5.30/01 is now available”?
Until now an increase from e.g. root_v4.04.00 to root_v4.04.02 has always been an increase in the production version which includes all binaries, see: ftp://root.cern.ch/root/
Patch versions have always received a letter, e.g. root_v4.04.02b, the last one being root_v5.28/00f.
We recently updated the numbering schema so that the patch release will now be an increment on the 3rd number (5.30/01, 5.30/02, etc.) while the production release will an increment (by 2) of the 2nd number
(5.30, 5.32, 5.34, etc.).
The binaries for v5.30/01 will be uploaded in the next couple of weeks (pending return from vacation).
