Hi,
on some machines in our institute root opens a file if you supply the file’s name as an argument when calling root from the command line (like “root test.root”). On mine it doesn’t.
How do I turn this feature on?

Released versions 3.05/07 or 3.10/02 work correctly with
root file.root
Always specify the full version number when you quote a version number.
If you do not use one of these two versions, upgrade your system
