Opening files with .root.1 .root.2, etc.. suffix

hi,
am trying to open ROOT files which have .root.1, etc… as suffix. I wonder whether some magic line added to the .rootrc does the job. I can of course either rename my files. but is this feature supported with ROOT.?
Thanks.

root -l user10.NabilGhodbane.MC_7TeV_AOD_108081_r1306.V111.A6H1Topo.T1.D3PD._00004.root.1

Hi,

you can call root -l file:user10.NabilGhodbane.MC_7TeV_AOD_108081_r1306.V111.A6H1Topo.T1.D3PD._00004.root.1

Cheers, Axel.
