On the dependence of the first townsend coeff. with pressure

Hello, I am a newbie to GARFIELD++ and I was trying to obtain the electron transport parameters for Argon under 2 different pressures (760, 3*760) torr, but I did notice that the data obtained says that alpha is inversely proportional to the pressure, I don’t know what I did wrong, but my guess is that alpha is directly dependent on the pressure!
I uploaded the files if any one had undergone the same issue.
thanks in advance!

@hschindl may be you have an answer

Hi,
the behaviour you observed is correct. For a given electric field, the Townsend coefficient α decreases with increasing pressure.
