No bin folder in tarball

I’m trying to install root on my personal laptop and the download instructions say to run /bin/thisroot.sh immediately after unpacking the tarball. Unfortunately, there is no bin folder at all in the tarball that I have downloaded and the thisroot.sh files located in other places won’t execute because root-config does not exist. Did I completely miss a step somewhere?

Can you please say which tarball you used? Without that information we cannot help you. Also, how did you unpack it?
