Need Help with LibPyROOT.so Installation Issue

Hello everyone,

I’m a newcomer to root and I’m encountering an installation issue. I’m trying to execute a code that relies on the ‘LibPyROOT.so’ library. To address this, I’ve successfully built root (v=6.28.06) from the source using Cmake. However, when attempting to run my code, I consistently receive the error message: “libpyroot.so is not found.” I’ve searched in all the /lib directories, but I can’t find yet.

Could anyone provide assistance with this?

Thank you in advance.

_ROOT Version: 6-28-06
_Platform: Linux-Debian

Hi @Kada,

welcome to the ROOT forum. I believe that the ‘LibPyROOT.so’ library does not exist in the new versions of ROOT, already for a while. I’m guessing you’re trying to execute some older code? Could you explain, or even better share a reproducer of what you want to do exactly?

Cheers,
Marta
